DRAW NO BET
“Draw no bet” is commonly used when betting on sports team matches, and means that punters will get their stake back if the game is a draw. This is particularly popular with soccer/football match bets.
Example
If Chelsea and Manchester United are playing a match and the score is 1 – 1, punters who chose “draw no bet” get their money back. If the score s 1-2 and they didn’t predict this score or choose the correct winner, they lose their stake.
DEAD HEAT
A Dead-heat occurs when two or more competitors finish a sporting event with an identical place or classification.
DOUBLE CHANCE
Double chance betting is usually deployed by punters who enjoy backing the underdogs with its main feature the fact that it covers two out of three possible outcomes.
By taking a double chance on a team, you win the same amount of money if your team win or if they draw, meaning that only the defeat of the team you backed will result in a loss.
Majority of punters decide to take a double chance on underdogs when they believe that the other team have been wrongfully made favourites by the bookies or when they feel that the odds offered on the underdog represent a good value for money.
Example
A customer places a double chance bet on Liverpool against Arsenal, hoping to take advantage of Liverpool good home form. The bet will be a winning one if Liverpool win or draw, whereas Arsenal win is the only outcome that would result in losing the bet.

ASIAN HANDICAPS
The Asian handicap originated in the east and refers to spread betting in soccer. The Asian handicap (also known as Hang Cheng) removes the possibility of a draw result which increases the chances of a punter turning a profit significantly. There are only two outcomes of a win with an Asian handicap, a “home” or “away” win with a possible “push” for money back on a draw depending on the handicap. The handicap is a virtual goal head start and can increase in increments of ¼ i.e. ¼ goal, ½ goal, ¾ goal, 1 goal, 1 ¼ goal etc.
Example
When a team which is thought to be weaker receives a ½ goal handicap, it means that you are betting for it to start with a pretend half goal. Depending on your wager this could lead to a number of situations. Say for instance Manchester United and Arsenal are playing (Arsenal has the handicap of ½) and you bet on Man U to win, the following out comes will result:- Man U vs. Arsenal:
0-0 = loss
1-0 = win
0-1 = loss
2-0 = win
3-0 = win
EUROPEAN HANDICAP
here is a good chance that all of you have heard of Asian handicap, but European Handicap is not such a familiar term. With European Handicap, one of the two teams is given an advantage before the match starts, but there are still three possible outcomes – home win, draw and away win.
There are no void bets or stake refunded here, but a simple calculation is done when the match ends, taking into account the handicap given before the match.
European Handicap has proved to be a great way to back the favourites to record big wins and earn nice profit, or to back the underdogs not to lose the game.
Example
Barcelona are hot favourites at home to Villarreal and you back the Catalans to win the game with -1 European handicap. If Barcelona win the game by two goals or more, we count it as home win and your bet is a winning one. If the Catalans record a narrow win, the outcome is a draw, while every other result, including a draw or an away win is counted as an away win.
LAST TEAM TO SCORE
A bet on which team will be the last to score in a football match. Bets are placed on 90 minutes play only.
LIVE BETTING / IN PLAY BETTING
In-play betting refers to live match betting in which it is possible to bet on the outcome or elements of a match while it is still “in play”.
Example
Looking at a soccer match as an example, it would be possible mid game to place bets on factors such as who will be awarded the next corner or which player will score the next goal. The odds change during the game depending on the performance and positioning of the team and players.
MULTIPLE
Also called an accumulator, this bet containing more than one selection, such as a double, treble, 4-fold etc
ODDS
This is the name for the price offered for a selection to win. The odds will rise or fall depending on the likelihood of the outcome.
